About Laura

Laura BerneLaura started riding and competing in her native Southern California at the age of ten. Over the years she has sought to learn several disciplines, including Dressage and Eventing.

In 1980, Laura enrolled in the prestigious Talland School of Equitation in Cirencester, England, where she earned the BHSAI Certification under Molly Sivewright.

Thereafter, Laura was located north of Vienna in the small village of Ladendorf, Austria where she trained with Herr Maxi Huck, a member of the Austrian Eventing Team. As a student of Herr Huck, she traveled throughout Europe attending numerous Eventing competitions.

Laura has also taken instruction with numerous instructors and clinicians including Button Baker, Major Hector Carmona, Hilda Gurney, Conrad Schumacher and Bruno Gerber.

In 2005, Laura was training and competing on Sridhar, a KWPN stallion owned by Levremont Farm. She began Sridhar’s dressage training in September 2004, and they established an outstanding record together. Laura and Sridhar regularly earned scores in the seventies and earned the following awards:

Friday High Score at Lexington Dressage 2005
Qualifying score of 77.69% for 2005 BLM Championships
VADA State Championship Senior Training Level Recognized Show Median Score of 75.49%
Finished in the Top 5% USDF Horse of the Year 2005 Open Training Level
